Baggage Allowances |
Any passenger
holding a first class adult ticket or a half-price
ticket is entitled to bear the luggage of 30 kg
free of charge (checked and carry-on baggage);
Any passenger holding a economy class adult ticket
or a half-price ticket is entitled to bear the luggage
of 20 kg free of charge (checked and carry-on baggage);
No free luggage allowance for people who hold infant
tickets. |
| Carry-on
Baggage Allowances |
Each first-class passenger
is entitled to have two pieces of carry-on luggage;
Each business-class passenger is entitled to have
one piece of carry-on luggage;
Each economy-class passenger is entitled to have
one pieces of carry-on luggage;
The size of each carry-on luggage should be smaller
than 20 X 40 X 55 centimeter and total weight should
be less than 5 kg. Otherwise, the luggage should
be checked together with your other luggage. For
luggage in excess of the free baggage allowance
in piece, or the sum of the length, width and height
of each piece exceeding the prescribed limits, an
excess luggage charge should be paid. We recommend
for efficient travel that each passenger travel
with only one suitcase and one carry-on bag. Excessive
number, size, or weight of luggage may result in
your inconvenience and/or surcharge. |

International passengers from USA and Canada |
| Checked
Baggage Allowances |
• Piece System:
Piece system applies to passengers heading for USA
and Canada. According to the ticket class, the standard
of baggage allowance are:
First Class and Business Class
Two pieces of baggage of which the sum of the
greatest outside linear dimensions of each does
not exceed 62 inches (158cms), and the weight
of each does not exceed 70lbs (32kgs).
Economy Class and Tourist Discounted Class
Two pieces of baggage (measured together) of which
the sum of the greatest outside linear dimensions
does not exceed 107 inches (269cms), provided
the sum of the outside linear dimensions of each
bag does not exceed 62 inches (158cms), and that
the weight of each does not exceed 70lbs (32kgs).
Infant who paid 10 percent of the adult fare could
bear one baggage provided the sum of the greatest
outside linear dimensions does not exceed 45 inches
(115cms)
• Weight System
According to weight system regulations, baggage
allowance of each passenger is:
40 kg (88 lbs) for first-class passenger
30 kg (66 lbs) for business-class passenger
20 kg (44 lbs) for economy-class passenger
No free baggage allowance is granted to infants
paying 10 percent of the adult fare |
| Carry-on
Baggage Allowances |
Passengers holing adult-fare
or half-fare tickets are entitled to bear only one
piece of unchecked baggage. The baggage should be
suitable for placing under the passenger's seat
or in the overhead compartment, and the sum of the
greatest outside linear dimensions does not exceed
45 inches (115cms).
Besides, each passenger may carry in his own custody
the following articles free of charge:
• A lady's handbag
• An overcoat,
wrap or traveling blanket
• A raincoat,
an umbrella or walking stick
• A small
camera and / or a pair of small binoculars
• Infant food for consumption in flight
• A reasonable amount of reading matter for
the flight
• An infant cradle
•
A fully collapsible wheelchair, a pair of crutches/braces
or artificial limbs |
| Following
are some articles which can't be shipped as baggage: |
• Dangerous articles,
such as inflammable, explosive, corrosive, poisonous,
radioactive, polymerizable and magnetized material
• Arms, sharp or lethal weapons
• Articles forbidden or limited to import
or export according to Chinese laws |
